Letter From Dr. Helms
Dear Friend, Do you remember what it is like to feel good? I mean really feel good... with the freedom to do all the things that you love. Maybe it was sports, or playing with the kids, it could've been working in the yard or dancing with your spouse, or maybe even getting through a full day of work without excruciating pain! What if there was an answer to your problems! What if it could give you back the freedom to live your life on your own terms, and what if it was faster and easier and less expensive then you could've ever imagined? In this report you will discover:
- What Treatments Have Been proven safe and effective for back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headache and much more!
- What your pain and suffering is really costing you!

- What treatment should be avoided at all costs!
If you are even slightly interested—please read on! Look, let's be honest
What Is Your Pain and Suffering Really Costing?
Did you know:
- Back Pain alone is estimated to cost the U.S. over $300 million a year in medical costs and lost productivity?
- We spend over $6 billion a year on over-the-counter pain medications?
- Pain is the number one reason for doctor visits and is usually treated with one or more prescription drugs?
And this is nothing compared to the real cost... The Loss of Freedom to Live your Life Please take a moment and answer these questions honestly:
- Have you canceled or put off travel to visit friends or family because you just didn't feel good?
- Do you have difficulty sleeping because of the pain and discomfort, always feeling tired and irritable?
- Is it difficult to get through the workday or perform all of your job duties because of pain?
- Are you taking over-the-counter or prescription medications that make you sick or feel funny?
- Are you putting off chores or projects around the house that need to be done?
- Have you given up the things that you love, like playing with the kids, working in the yard, or participating in sports?
- Are you afraid that something is terribly wrong with you and no one can explain what it is?
- Are you afraid that you're going to lose your job?
- Have you been told by your doctor "nothing can be done... just live with it"
- Do you stay at home, skipping important activities or social events, maybe even church?
- Are you afraid the pain will never go away or even get worse, leaving you with a life of misery and suffering?
You may have given up a little of your freedom because of pain, or a lot of freedom, it doesn't matter. As long as your goal is to live your life on your own terms, any loss of freedom is costing you your life. Drug's Aren't the Answer Sure-– They may help ease the pain for a while, but over-the-counter medications like Tylenol and Advil are meant to be taken rarely, for occasional pain, not as a way of life. That you know that taking Advil as little as three times a week increases your risk of kidney disease five times? Tylenol has been linked to kidney and liver disease and is linked to 200,000 hospitalizations a year, and over-the-counter medication drug reactions cause over 20,000 deaths a year! Prescription medication is even worse, with even more side effects. Have you ever stopped and read the adverse reactions and side effects that come with your prescription? First, you better take out a magnifying glass, and be prepared for a long read. And, did you know that adverse drug reactions are the number one cause for hospitalizations, and one of the leading causes of death in the U.S.! Hello, my name is Dr Hollis Helms, and before we go any further let me tell you a story. "How a 'Fool Stunt' in 1982 Made Me Locally famous..." The amazing story finally told right here I am locally famous, you could say. Hundreds of people know me here in San Antonio. But, I didn't get "famous" the way most people do. It was a "fool stunt," as some friends said. Let me tell you what happened. It was years ago, in 1982, when by the measure of most, I had everything. Back then I was a pre-med student and I loved competitive tennis. I wasn't the best, but tennis was a great source of joy and helped me survive the high stress of school. I suddenly developed severe hip pain and right leg pain. I couldn't even run around the block. My doctor prescribed pain killers and muscle relaxers. Nothing was working. I was afraid something horrible was wrong! I was devastated and scared that my active days were over for good. But there's more. A friend of mine convinced me to give a chiropractor a try. The chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then "adjusted" my spine. The adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief, and I could run again. That's when I told my family and friends that I was changing careers and heading for chiropractic school myself. They said it was a "fool stunt", that I was crazy to spend the time and money. But, I never looked back. It was the best decision that I ever made! It's strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their hip and leg pain. They also come to me with their carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, numbness in limbs, just to name a few. So....Why go to a Chiropractor? Well, first of all, Chiropractic healthcare has been around for over 100 years! That's right, 100 years, and more and more people are going to Chiropractors than ever before... we must be doing something right. Second, Chiropractic has built it's reputation on getting people out of pain and back to an active life...The kind of life worth living, all without drugs or surgery. Sure, that rubs some of the medical professions the wrong way, and frankly some medical providers just don't like us— that's okay- the studies speak for themselves, like the Virginia study that showed that 99% of patients who saw a chiropractor were satisfied with their results. That's just incredible! Third, our clinic, Thousand Oaks United Chiropractic on San Antonio, is unique. We specialize in giving you "back your life". Dr. Grimm and I have over 25 years of clinical experience treating people just like you, we have specialized training in sports injury and rehabilitation, and we have state-of-the art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, to make you get the best care available anywhere! You Benefit from our Low Fees Look, it shouldn't cost you an arm or an leg to correct your health. Look, you are going to write a check to someone for your health care expenses, you may as well write on for a lesser amount for chiropractic. And further care is very affordable and you'll be happy to know that I have affordable family plans. You see, I'm not trying to seduce you to come to see me with this low start up fee, then to only make up with higher fees after that. Further care is very important to consider when making your choice of doctor. High costs can add up very quickly. My assistants are Natalie and Jamie who are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Our office is both friendly and warm and we try our best to make you feel at home.
